I have an electrostatic air filter already installed. Is it OK to install a PRIME AIR Purifier?
A1: An electrostatic air filter will not alter the performance of an in-duct air purification system. They are simply a polypropylene media charged with static electricity when air moves through the polypropylene. This static charge attracts and traps particles but does nothing to remove odors or chemicals. So the answer is, it is OK to use both the filter and the Prime Air. Top

Does this unit use a  UV bulb which requires replacement or cleaning?
A2: No , there is not a UV bulb in the PRIME AIR.  This unit is designed to be maintenance free.  We manufacture our own unique ozone reactor meaning there is no costly bulb replacement. Top

Are these units large and will it fit in my ductwork?
A3: These units are very easy to install and are mounted on the wall near the furnace.  There is no extra weight or vibration on the duct work. Please see the owners manual for a typical hook up sketch. Top

Do these units have a fan? How do they purify my air?
A4: The Prime Air does not have a fan because we take advantage of the  fan and the duct work in your existing HVAC system. The unit does have a small pump to move the Activated Oxygen in to your duct system. Ozone is known to kill bacteria, mold, mildew and oxidize chemicals or odours in the air . As a result  everyone in your  home will tend to be healthier. Top

Will I still have to have my ducts cleaned if I install an in-duct air purifier?
A5: Our Prime Air system is not a filter nor a vacuum cleaner so you will need to continue using good house keeping practices. We are more concerned with the ‘invisible’ aspects of the air. Top

Is there any kind of a filter on these units?
A6: Yes, there is a small filter at the bottom of the unit for the air pump but this should be good for several years of use. If you ever need a new filter due to excessive dust collection on it, you may call use and order a FREE Filter. Top

What are the advantages of our system over a portable air purifier?
A7: The Prime Air purifier utilizes the ductwork designed for your home, thereby efficiently moving the Activated Oxygen into every room of the home with even distribution.  Stand alone filter units must draw the air into the box in order to clean it. Portable Ozone units typically built up a high level of ozone in the room in which they are used and very little transfers to other parts of the home. Top

The maintenance FREE Prime Air unit works invisibly and silently while the portable units have fan noise , take up space on your counter or shelf, have a cord hanging in the way and require frequent maintenance. Top

How do you install the unit? Can I do it myself?
A8: The unit is very easy to install  and you can do it in 15 to 30 minutes . You simply mount the unit on a wall near the furnace , drill 2 holes in the duct , mount a plate, connect the tube, and  plug it into a power supply. That's it.  Check our Owners Manual section for full details. Top

I  don’t  understand the thunderstorm concept. Can you explain what is meant?
A9:  The concept of the " thunderstorm " picture is two fold. 1) the electrical energy of lightning which causes the creation of ozone  and 2) the fresh air smell after a thunder storm.... which is ozone. The concept is one of recreating outdoor air inside a unit. Top

What is corona discharge?
A10: There are several methods of creating ozone or activated oxygen and one is by actually having a spark eg., like lightning or welding . Another is with a UV lamp eg., a photo copier. Top

Our technology is referred to as a corona discharge and that basically means a high energy field with out sparking. In our unit we use a high quality double walled glass tube and two electrodes . You can actually see a purple haze when you take an end view prior  to completed construction. The inner tube is a variable high voltage, perhaps up to 30,000 volts while the outer tube is the low voltage or ground. The variation between these two energy fields separated by the glass dielectric causes some of the oxygen to separate and reattach to other oxygen molecules forming 03 or 04 or 06 or longer chain oxygen molecules which we refer to as Polyatomic Oxygen. These become active in cleaning up the pollution in the air leaving you with fresh , energised air. Top
